Most front yards don't have a major problem - they just look unfinished. No real definition, no focal points, nothing that makes the house feel intentional. That's usually where we come in.
For this Kingston Springs property, we put together a clean landscape install that layers different textures and plants in a way that feels natural but polished. Fresh black mulch laid tight around established shrubs, river rock used to border and define the beds, and a mix of ornamental grasses, hostas, and flowering plants to add color and depth at ground level. Every piece has a purpose.
What makes a landscape like this work long-term is the plant selection. We chose varieties that are going to fill in nicely without turning into a maintenance headache. The arborvitae anchors the corner of the bed and will grow into a strong vertical element over time. The broadleaf shrubs already have good structure. It's a setup that improves as it matures.
The rock border along the bed edge does a lot of quiet work too. It keeps mulch from washing out, gives the lawn a clean line to follow, and adds a natural look that ties the whole front of the house together. Small detail, big payoff.
Good landscaping doesn't just make a yard look nicer - it makes the whole property feel more cared for. That's the goal on every install we do.
