What's easy to overlook is how much the base material matters too. The compacted gravel bed underneath supports the slab and helps with drainage - two things that directly affect how long the finished driveway performs. We don't skip steps here, because cutting corners in prep is exactly what leads to premature cracking and costly repairs.
